A District-Scale Gold System — Beardmore-Geraldton Greenstone Belt, Ontario
Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: LME) has conducted over 44,000 metres of systematic drilling across 20 zones at the Ishkōday property. Laurion has publicly committed to initiating a formal NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate process. The MRE timeline is subject to financing and drill results - no specific completion date should be inferred. This technical resource centre provides access to the full public drilling record and independent NI 43-101 documentation.
Ishkōday covers 57.43 km² in the Beardmore-Geraldton Greenstone Belt of Northwestern Ontario — a historic camp with over 4.1 million oz of past production at 6.5 g/t Au from 24 separate mines. The Ishkōday mineralised corridor spans 6.0 km × 2.5 km and hosts two structurally distinct systems: an orogenic gold-silver system (Sturgeon River Mine, M-Series, Brenbar) and a VMS-style polymetallic system (A-Zone, McLeod, CRK).
The Sturgeon River Mine produced 73,438 oz Au at 17.0 g/t (1936-1942), halting because of wartime restrictions — not resource exhaustion. The shaft was expanding in productive ground at 642m when operations ceased. Post-2023 drilling has confirmed the system to 1,600m strike and 738m depth, both materially beyond the last independent technical report.
Laurion has publicly committed to finalising the site wide NI 43-101 MRE process this year and additional drilling is underway now. The property enters that process with over a decade of drilling data, confirmed metallurgy from nine independent studies, and an engineering design by DRA Global already complete.
An independent Qualified Person (SGS Geological Services, 2023) confirmed exploration potential of 22.5-45 million tonnes across 20 drilled zones. ClearLakeBlue's advisory assessment, based on the full public record, produces a base case of approximately 2.35 million oz. ClearLakeBlue notes that post-2023 drilling has produced results that go substantially beyond the SGS 2023 baseline data. Nine geophysical targets remain undrilled. Nine geophysical targets remain undrilled.
